Turnover increased by more than eight per cent for EK

There is to be an intensification of collaborative work with partners like Hagebau

EK Großeinkauf eG of Bielefeld increased its centralised turnover in 2004 by 8.2 per cent to € 1 502 mio. Whereas the domestic appliances/kitchens/electrical segments, as well as toys, experienced positive development, the results for building/DIY, hardware and garden were slightly below the previous year's level. The proportion of sales achieved abroad remained stable at around 7 per cent.
Those responsible at EK expect further impulses for growth to result from an intensification of their cooperation with partners like Hagebau. EK had a total of 2 467 members at the end of 2004, which means that the membership figure has remained almost unchanged when compared with the previous year (+3).
