Expectations met

UK builders’ merchant Travis Perkins has reported an increase of 7.6 per cent in sales for the 2004 financial year to £ 1.83 bn (€ 2.62 bn). Pre-tax profits were in line with expectations and rose by 16.7 per cent to £ 207.8 mio (€ 297.5 mio). Utilising synergies with the recently acquired Wickes DIY chain was going according to plan, said the company.
