Gardena ends the year with a 4 per cent drop in sales

Gardena’s sales in fiscal 2003/2004 (ended 30 September 2004) came to € 421.7 mio, 4.2 per cent down on the previous twelve months. The decline is attributed to the exceptional summer in 2003 (sales 2002/2003: € 440.0 mio) and to the sale of its US subsidiary Melnor and the Adlus brand. The company recorded sales of € 350.3 mio under the Gardena brand, equivalent to a drop of 2.5 per cent.
