Double-digit sales growth

The Home Depot announces sales for the fourth quarter up by 11.2 per cent to US $ 16.8 bn (€ 12.71 bn), and 4.6 per cent in comparable store terms. The number one home improvement retailer concluded the latest fiscal year with sales growth of 12.8 per cent for a total of US $ 73.1 bn (€ 55.29 bn), and comparable store sales up by 5.4 per cent. Net earnings of US $ 5.0 bn (€ 3.78 bn) showed a 16.2 per cent increase on the previous year. At the end of the fiscal year Home Depot operated a total of 1 890 stores, 1 657 of them in the United States, 117 in Canada and 44 in Mexico, as well as 54 Expo Design Centers, 11 THD Landscape Supply stores, 5 THD Supply outlets and 2 THD Floor Stores.
