The Australian hardware and building materials market has grown by around two per cent

A study produced by management consultants Moore Stephens reveals that the Australian hardware and building materials market has seen growth of around two per cent. The value of the market rose in 2003/04 by 2.1 per cent to AUS $ 25 bn in comparison with the previous year. The private house-building segment is continuing to flourish. Sales in the trade sector saw rather greater growth than did retail sales in the DIY market.
