Garden tools in Germany recorded sales down by double-digit figures in the 2004 season. Sales of the three segments monitored by GfK, powered garden tools, hand tools and watering products and accessories, were around 10 per cent below the previous year’s results over the months of February to November. Not even a slightly brisker demand for garden products in the relatively mild October was able to halt the downward tendency.
