Striebig, the Swiss manufacturer of woodworking machines, is planning to invest CHF 15 mio (€ 9.7 mio) in the extension of its plant in Lithuania. According to a statement made by Marcel Brunner, a member of the management team, the company recorded a 20 per cent increase in new orders last year. Brunner is optimistic with regard to the development of his own company in 2005 as well, although he expects the state of the market to continue to be difficult for woodworking machines in general.
