As of the beginning of the new year, Euro-Mat S.A., the European builders’ merchant cooperative based in Luxembourg, has appointed Heinz Kerp, 41, as marketing director for the area of marketing management, public relations and the organisation’s own shop concept. Before joining Euro-Mat he was editor of the German trade magazine, “Bau + Heimwerker Markt”. The new marketing chief’s overriding target is to build up a continuous public relations service and to intensify communication between the members of the cooperative and between the members and industry. Over and above this, the expectation is for Euro-Mat to attain a higher degree of recognition as a European cooperative organisation among international retailers and manufacturers as well.
