“Standort-Check” to analyse the competition

Dähne Verlag is launching a new service for the German market at DIYonline

DIYonline, the internet service for the German DIY industry, has launched a new service. Known as the "Standort-Check" (or locational check, www.DIYonline.de/standort-check), it offers users an instrument for analysing the competitive situation in a defined geographical area of a location in Germany that they have selected themselves. The locational check provides detailed information on competitors in the immediate vicinity of a planned retail site (within a radius of 2.5 km) and further away from it (within a radius of 10 km), for example. The analysis contains data on existing businesses, detailing their types of outlet, retail areas, opening dates and sales revenues. The position of such competing outlets is graphically depicted on maps. Specialist garden and pet stores are also included along with DIY retailers. Current information of the same type is available for this sector as well.
