Retail sales in China see an increase of around 13 per cent in the first six months

Sales in the Chinese retail sector achieved a figure of 2.525 trillion yen (€ 247 bn) during the first six months of this year. This indicates a rise of 12.8 per cent in volume over the same period last year. A recently published study from the Chinese ministry of economic affairs reveals that retail sales are expected to see growth of 10.5 per cent to over 5.0 trillion yen (€ 489 bn) for the year as a whole.
