DIY imports into Japan

Japan imported goods to the value of € 1.2 bn from the area of DIY and garden in the year 2002. This amounts to a five per cent increase by volume in comparison with the previous year, but a drop of six per cent in value terms. This information is contained in a study by the French ministry of economic affairs. France’s share of the exports to Japan amounted to 3.3 per cent.
