April 2003 compared to April 2002: Euro-zone up by 2.2 per cent

In April 2003, compared to April 2002, the volume of retail trade increased by 2.2 per cent in the euro-zone and by 2.8 per cent in the EU15, Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities in Luxembourg, estimates. Compared to March 2003, sales rose by 1.5 per cent in both zones.
