DIY outlets up almost ten per cent on previous year

Hagebau stores in Austria report an increase in turnover of 9.8 per cent for the months of January to May 2003 inclusive. Centrally invoiced sales amounted to 30.42 mio euro. However, the cooperative head office recorded an overall decline of 4.1 per cent to 114 mio euro. The turnover in the building materials trade was 83.58 mio euro and thus 8.3 per cent down on the comparative period last year.
