Coatings division down slightly

Last year, Akzo Nobel’s paints and coatings division recorded a one per cent drop in sales to € 5.521 bn. However, sales of decorative products included within this sum rose by two per cent to € 1.915 bn. The entire division’s operating profits improved by nine per cent. The company credits this in part to cost savings in the area of decorative coatings.
