The retail trade in the eurozone sold 0.4 per cent less in November 2002 than in the same month the year before. However, taking all the 15 EU states together, the sector increased its volume of sales by 1.0 per cent, according to information from the Statistical Office of the EU. Traders in Germany suffered the greatest setback of all in Europe.
