The subsidiaries of Rautakesko record sales growth of 25 per cent

For last year the Finnish retail group Kesko has had to record a drop in sales at Rautakesko, its building materials and DIY store division. The financial statement that it has now presented confirms a preliminary announcement made in January. It reveals that the division’s net sales have dropped by 1.5 per cent to € 735 mio. Mainly responsible for this are the domestic figures, which show a deficit of 4.5 per cent, whereas the foreign subsidiaries announce a sales volume of € 129.1 mio and an increase of 25 per cent.
