Executive promotions at Lowe’s

Lowe’s has announced a number of personnel promotions effective 1 March 2003. Robert A. Niblock, currently serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer, is promoted to president and will in his new role be responsible for store operations, merchandising, logistics and distribution. Robert F. Hull Jr will be the new CFO. Larry D. Stone, executive vice president, will now be responsible for operations as senior executive vice president. Also promoted to senior executive vice president with responsibility for merchandising is Dale C. Pond. Steven M. Stone took over the post of senior vice president for information systems with effect from 1 February. Thomas E. Whiddon, currently executive vice president responsible for logistics and technology, is retiring from the company.
