Castorama is working on a new concept for its network of branches in France, taking the Casto l’entrepôt as its starting point. A pilot store of 12 000 m² is to open in the neighbourhood of Toulon in the south of France, and a second test outlet is planned for Hénin Beaumont in the north. The concept puts more emphasis on decorative ranges and a more aggressive pricing policy, according to a report in the next issue of our specialist magazine DIY in Europe.
