Masco acquisition cleared

The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of Hansgrohe AG by the US-based Masco Corporation. Both companies manufacture and sell taps and mixers, shower accessories and hydrotherapy products throughout Europe. However, the Commission found that the overlapping activities will only result in combined market shares of well below 15 per cent in most European countries.
