The former head of Kingfisher has retired from the board

Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy, the former Chief Executive Officer of Kingfisher, has given up his seat on the group board ahead of schedule. According to an announcement from the company, he has offered to retire from the managing board on 5 December. It was originally said that he would remain with the company until the end of April 2003, after stepping down as chairman of the board on 1 November 2002.
