Improved retail results across Europe

While retail sales for September were up in the EU overall, they were down in the eurozone

The volume of retail sales in the eurozone went down by 0.6 per cent in September 2002 over the same period last year. However, the EU Office for Statistics has calculated an increase of 0.8 per cent for the entire EU with its 15 member states.
