DIY market shows stronger growth

The DIY stores in the UK increase their sales by 7.1 per cent in the third quarter

The British market research institute Verdict Research of London has ascertained that the UK DIY market achieved a volume of £ 3.314 bn (€ 5.2 bn) in the third quarter of 2002. Which means that it has grown by 7.1 per cent over the comparable period in 2001. In contrast to this, the market researchers estimate that the overall British retail sector expanded by only 5.1 per cent and will end the year 2002 with an increase of 4.3 per cent.
