Central buying departments merged, but logistics and services remain separate

Following the takeover of Group Tabur by Mr Bricolage, the central buying departments are being merged at Mr Bricolage’s head office in Orléans. However, the service companies for the Catena stores are being retained as autonomous units. As was shown at the annual meeting of former Tabur franchisees, Tabur Logistique & Service and Tabur Blanc Logistique & Service in the south of France will continue to operate and will be responsible for merchandising, further development of the concept and advertising as well as for supplying the stores. The project to develop a new central warehouse is also being pursued. A new building is being erected on a 15 000 m2 site at Voivres, near Le Mans, with a storage volume of 230 000 m3. The new warehouse is expected to open officially in spring 2003.
