Increase in comparable terms in Austria

OBI achieved a turnover of € 290 mio in Austria during the year 2001. The company has now announced that it completed the first six months of 2002 with an increase in like-for-like sales. Following the most recent opening in Baden, OBI currently has 36 DIY stores and 27 garden centres (of over 400 m²) in the country; three stores have smaller garden departments. Last year saw the company record a turnover of € 465 mio in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
