Sears down in January

Contrary to the downturn throughout the rest of the company, though, the retail hardware segment has seen positive development.

In January Sears recorded a 2.3 per cent drop in sales over the previous year, or 3.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis. The sales volume amounted to US $ 1.69 bn (€ 1.95 bn). According to information from the company, the hardware outlets have developed in a positive manner.
