Spoga+Gafa, the largest garden and BBQ trade fair in the world, has announced a high international proportion of exhibitors for this year’s edition from 16 to 18 June – and 14 exhibition halls are almost fully booked. With around 96 percent of the exhibition space rented and a high rebooking rate, the trade fair is thus building on the success of the previous year, as announced by those responsible at the trade show’s international press conference in Utrecht. In 2023, the world's leading trade fair  recorded an increase in both intercontinental exhibitors and exhibiting companies from Europe and the German-speaking countries with more than 1,850 exhibitors from 58 countries. These are figures that will be reached again in 2024.
In particular, the proportion of European and North American companies increased significantly compared with the previous year. Numerous national and international companies have confirmed their participation, including many big players and renowned brands, but also newcomers and startups. In view of the challenging circumstances in the industry, Stefan Lohrberg, director of Spoga+Gafa, sees the booking level at the garden lifestyle fair as an important positive signal: “With this clear commitment to Spoga+Gafa, the companies are sending a clear signal despite the sometimes challenging market conditions. ” This is because “Spoga+Gafa is the most important meeting point for the industry and opens up new and unique business opportunities – in the end, the entire green industry benefits from a successful Spoga+Gafa,” says Lohrberg confidently.

Leading theme characterises the trade fair programme

This year’s theme of “Responsible Gardens” plays a central role in the design of the exhibition grounds. The focus is on the responsibility of the green sector for the role of the garden in society. Resource-efficient gardening, fairly produced garden products, low-emission BBQ technologies, climate-friendly garden care and irrigation, as well as the responsible dealings of garden owners with one another, will therefore be highlighted at Spoga+Gafa 2024. The relevance of the topic will also be presented and discussed in various formats. International experts will deepen the topic in lectures and talk formats at the “Forum Garden Café”.
