Eurobrico, the international do-it-yourself trade fair which will take place from 1 to 3 October 2014 at Feria Valencia in Spain, will present an extended concept. The declared intention is to be a showcase for everything one needs for home and garden improvement. This change responds to the evolution of the market in which, according to Alejandro Roda, director of the fair, “we’re integrating not only do-it-yourself and hardware, but also decorating, gardening and renovation.”
The fair, which takes place every two years, brings together the main international agents, the trade fair organisers stated: Large and medium surfaces, cooperatives, group buyers, proximity shops and large chains from the whole do-it-yourself, garden, decoration and hardware store sector. “90 per cent of the Iberian peninsula’s purchasing power from this sector comes to each of the Eurobrico editions”, Roda emphasised. The trade fair is supported by the leading associations, including the Spanish manufacturers’ association AFEB and the trade association ADFB, together with their respective European umbrella organisations Fediyma und Edra.
In this context, the organisers point out that a commercial delegation from the Benelux states has already confirmed their participation and thus the circle of big European chains which traditionally visit the event is complete. “Eurobrico is the gateway for any European manufacturer for distribution to the Iberian peninsula”, Roda assures. On the other hand, “it is also a magnificent display of the main Spanish suppliers and what they represent for European distribution”. Furthermore the Eurobrico Business Club for foreign buyers should pave the way for more internationalization: On offer are conferences and other activities as well as store visits.
For the 2014 edition, the event also commits to facilitating the participation of companies through the program Eurobrico Easy, by providing (economical) stands and simple organisation, the organisers stated. Moreover Eurobrico 2014 will enrich its offer thanks to the coinciding dates with Iberflora, International Trade Fair for Plants and Flowers, Technology and DIY-Garden, which will promote the Garden Salon at both events.
