The power tool manufacturer from Bisingen has come up with something really special for the company’s 75th anniversary: Kress has selected three machines for its customers from the production programme and re-issued them as Edition 75. The gleaming silver tools – a cordless screwdriver and two pneumatic rotary hammers – are supplied complete with special accessories and a rugged watch that is timeless in design.
The ASS 75 Edition two-speed cordless screwdriver is a 12 V tool with a rapid-action chuck changing system for driving without a chuck. The tool comes in a carry case complete with a second battery pack, a charger with cable depot and bit holder.
The Jubilee Edition in silver, com-plete with a carry case, special attachments and a rugged watch.
The other two products, both pneumatic rotary hammers, are also supplied with a carry case. Whereas the PSE 75 Edition is suitable for hammer drilling holes in concrete up to 24 mm in diameter, the 900 watt version of the PSH 75 Edition can drill up to 32 mm in concrete.
Managing director Dieter Christian Kress makes stringent demands on the quality of all products, where functionality and design are also crucial factors. As he says, “For 75 years our company’s philosophy has been based on finding solutions that offer the highest technical level and excellence of design.” Numerous pa-tents and awards for quality of design bear witness to this success.
The firm now distributes its palette of products in more than 60 countries.
The company was founded in Tübingen in 1928 as an electrical business with a car electronics workshop. Starting in 1945, the company concentrated on the construction of electric motors. 1964 saw the production of “Multyelectric”, the first Kress power tool, which was followed in 1969 by a complete family of compact power tools for drilling, sawing and grinding.
The move abroad was achieved in 1979 with the founding of the Ceka company in Wattwil, Switzerland. Then in 2001 came branches in France and Austria, and a representative office in Russia one year later.
Today Kress produces over 700 000 power tools annually at the two plants in Germany and Switzerland with around 300 employees.
