Clas Ohlson Swedish sales down 3 per cent from May to October

In the first six months of fiscal 2020/2021 (May to October), Clas Ohlson's sales were down 2 per cent to SEK 4.111 bn (EUR 403 mio) compared with the same period in the previous year. In local currencies, however, the figure signified an increase of 3 per cent. Sales in comparable units and local currencies increased by 4 per cent. Online sales for the period increased by 43 per cent to SEK 332 mio (EUR 33 mio).
Sales declined by 3 per cent in the company's home market in Sweden. Although sales were up in Norway by 15 per cent, the increase equated to just 3 per cent in Swedish krona on account of the weak Norwegian currency. Sales in Finland contracted by 11 per cent (-8 per cent in local currency).
