BackSales down at Clas Ohlson, but online business growing
Sales at Swedish retail group Clas Ohlson were down by 14 per cent in December compared with the same month in 2019, and by 10 per cent when adjusted for currency and retail area. Online sales came to SEK 108 mio (EUR 10.7 mio), however, an increase of 45 per cent over the previous year. From May, the start of the fiscal year, to December, the group's sales revenues were SEK 6.178 bn (EUR 609 mio), nominally 5 per cent down on the same period in the previous year. Sales were unchanged (0 per cent) when adjusted for currency and retail area. In e-commerce, Clas Ohlson grew sales by 47 per cent during this period to SEK 551 mio (EUR 54.3 mio).
