New Outdoor Supply Hardware stores in seven former Orchard locations

Central Network Retail Group (CNRG), a multi-format, multi-brand retailer currently operating 104 hardware stores in the USA, wants to open new stores under the new brand Outdoor Supply Hardware in seven of its former Orchard Supply Hardware locations in California. That is according to reports by the US media with reference to information from the company.

The name is deliberately intended to remind us of the Orchard chain, whose final 99 stores were closed by the last owner Lowe's in 2018. In addition to their own merchandising assortment, many of the same products and services for which the locations were well known are expected to be offered. The opening could be in September. CNRG, which operates in 14 states, will then also be represented in California.

Mark Baker, former CEO of Orchard Supply Hardware, was involved in the development of the new concept. However, he will not take a permanent role with the CNRG management team.
