Koelnmesse: Spoga+Gafa 2020 will take place as planned

As things stand, Spoga+Gafa 2020 is to take place as planned, i.e. from 6 to 8 September 2020 in Cologne. This has been announced by the management in a statement. "We are continuing to work flat out on the preparations for the largest garden lifestyle trade fair in the world and in spite of the tense situation, we have so far been able to record an excellent number of applications compared to the previous year level. As such the garden industry is preparing for the times after the Corona crisis and for taking up business again," according to the statement signed by the Vice President Trade Fair Management Catja Caspary and Stefan Lohrberg, Director Spoga+Gafa. At the same time, they give the assurance that: payments from exhibitors and visitors will be refunded if the trade fair has to be cancelled due to the Corona virus "which currently doesn't appear to be the case".

In addition, the trade fair will only take place "if it has the chance of being successful for all parties involved," according to the trade fair management. "Hence if we are led to believe that although all exhibitors are participating, a relevant share of our visitors will not attend in September due to risks or bans, we will act in the interests of all partners and reassess the situation".
