Koelnmesse is expanding its portfolio with another offshoot of the International Hardware Fair, this time for Central Asia. The Central Asia International Hardware Expo (CAIHE) is set to premiere from 24 to 26 November 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It is being organised in cooperation with Inter Dialog Ltd., a trade fair company specialising in Central Asia, and is intended to cover the markets in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in particular. The organisers expect around 200 exhibitors. A country pavilion from China has already been agreed with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
Around 83.6 million people live in the region. According to the trade fair organisers, the DIY and hardware market is expected to reach a volume of USD 18.76 bn by 2029, with an average growth rate (CAGR 2025 to 2029) of 3.41 per cent. According to the government, more than 750 major construction projects are currently underway in Uzbekistan.
