The average per capita purchasing power in Europe will increase to EUR 20,291 in 2025, according to a NIQ study conducted this year. This corresponds to a nominal increase of 4.0 percent compared to the revised figure for the previous year. Overall, Europeans have a purchasing power of around EUR 13.9 trillion.
As in previous years, Liechtenstein will again top the rankings in 2025. Liechtensteiners have a per capita purchasing power of EUR 71,130, which is 3.5 times the European average. Switzerland and Luxembourg follow in second and third place. At EUR 53,011, the per capita purchasing power of the Swiss is 2.6 times higher than that of the average European.
