Cemaco becomes first Edra/Ghin member from Central America

Edra/Ghin now has a member in Guatemala with the addition of Cemaco, the largest home improvement chain in the Central American country, to the international home improvement association. The group of companies has 21 stores in Guatemala, 13 of them in big-box format, and eight Cemaco express outlets. It was founded in 1977 by Mario and Dina Nathusius. Today, Jonathan Nathusius heads the group as CEO. The owning family is reported to attach great importance to the social responsibility of the company. For example, Cemaco is one of the largest "Certified B Corporations" in Latin America. These companies are businesses that meet the highest global standards for social and environmental impact, governance, the value chain, and legal responsibility to balance profit and purpose. For Edra/Ghin, Cemaco is the first member from Central America.
