In connection with its plans for strategic realignment, the German specialised trade and retail cooperative Hagebau is also reorganising its management structure. Torsten Kreft, previously managing director for category management/purchasing, will take over the management and operational leadership for the specialist and retail business in Austria on 1 April 2022. He will develop a country-specific strategy there together with the Austrian associate partners, among other things, according to the company.

In addition, Kreft will be responsible for the internationalisation of Hagebau. He will also continue to be a member of the board of directors of the Paris-based purchasing alliance Arena, through which Hagebau handles a significant part of its international procurement. Kreft is leaving the management team of the German headquarters. The search for a successor is underway.

Jan Buck-Emden, who, in addition to his function as CEO, also headed the sales department on an interim basis, will hand over responsibility for it again. A search is also already underway for a suitable personality for the sales division.
