The Russian voluntary group currently consists of eight DIY retail companies

The Russian buying group Soyuz DIY (Union DIY) has joined EDRA, the European DIY Retail Association. The new member will be part of the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN), which was initiated by EDRA. Founded in 2012, the Soyuz grouping currently consists of eight Russian DIY retailers: Trest SCM from Yekaterinburg with the Superstroy and Stroy Arsenal sales channels, Blesk from Archangelsk, Stroypark from Tomsk, Vector from Penza, Stroy Gigant from Kursk, Elkop from Astrakhan, Yuzhny from Tjumen and Story Depot from Vidoye in the Moscow region. They operate 93 DIY stores overall and achieve combined sales of some € 700 mio. Rinat Mukhametvaleev, CEO of Trest SCM, is chairman of the board. He is the representative of GHIN on the board of EDRA. As a result of this new entrant the association now has exactly 100 member companies. They in turn operate around 13 500 stores in 50 countries, and their annual sales add up to some € 130 bn.
