Nearly double figures in comparable terms

Rona, the Canadian building materials and DIY store group, recorded an increase of 9.8 per cent in same-store sales during the third quarter. The overall rate of increase in the net sales volume of CDN $ 1.0131 bn (€ 653.8 mio) amounts to 35.4 per cent. This means that sales revenue of CDN $ 2.7474 bn (€ 1.7733 bn) accrued over the first nine months of the current year. This figure is 43.1 per cent above last year’s comparable level. However, the acquisition of Réno-Dépôt on 28 August 2003 must be taken into consideration when making any year-to-year comparison.
