Canadian Tire has announced its figures for the second quarter. They reveal that retail sales increased by 5.1 per cent over the same period last year to Can $ 1.800 bn (€ 1.116 bn). Growth of 2.2 per cent was achieved in like-for-like terms. According to the company, the product categories that made the greatest contribution to this growth were tools, barbecues, outdoor furniture, automobile care and accessories. EBIT amounts to Can $ 84.6 mio (€ 52.42 mio), or 22.1 per cent above last year’s level.
