First flower and garden fair in Japan

A flower and garden fair is to be held in Japan for the first time ever. Ifex, the International Flower Expo Tokyo, is scheduled for 14 to 16 October. Among the product categories covered there will be flowers, plants and seeds, gardening products, and lifestyle and interior design as well. So far about 250 exhibitors from 16 countries have registered, booking around 90 per cent of the exhibition space. The organisers are the Japan Floral Marketing Association (JFMA) and Reed Exhibitions Japan. They put a figure of 1.2 trillion yen (€ 8 990 mio) on the overall market volume.
