Strong demand for hardware and tools in the Gulf

The demand for hardware and tools in the Gulf region will exceed a volume of US $ 2 bn (€ 1.7 bn) in 2005. The annual rates of increase are estimated at eleven per cent. The Arab Gulf states will spend US $ 42 bn (€ 35 bn) on building homes in the next five years. These estimates have been published by Epoc Messe Frankfurt with a view to the next Hardware & Tools fair to be held from 15 to 17 May 2005 in Dubai. This year’s event and the parallel fairs, ISH Kitchen + Bathroom Gulf, Lightstyle – Gulf Light, and Garden Landscaping & Outdoor Living, attracted 414 exhibitors and 12 448 visitors.
