Whereas the volume has contracted by nearly eight per cent within 15 months and amounted to around € 12.8 bn at mid-year in 2003, the DIY retail trade has succeeded in maintaining its level of sales and so expanding its market share. This is revealed by a survey undertaken by the management consultancy Titze.
