The organizers of Domotex see their new concept for the trade fair as confirmation of its status as an international platform for the industry. The event, which took place from January 19 to 22, 2026, presented itself for the first time as the Home of Flooring & Interior Finishing with more than 500 exhibitors from over 50 countries, “successfully bridging the gap between high-quality floor coverings and holistic solutions for interior design,” according to the closing statement. It highlights a positive spirit of optimism, a high degree of internationality, and strong participation by leading market players.
“Domotex has reinvented itself and shown us all that it pays off to boldly break new ground,” says Arno Reich, Senior Vice President, Deutsche Messe AG. “The trade fair clearly conveys a palpable new beginning and creates the perfect platform for bringing together the international flooring and interior design industry.”
The trade fair has successfully evolved in terms of content and concept, “without losing its roots in flooring,” as project manager Annette Levy says. “The expansion to include wall and ceiling products was exactly the right move and has created new synergies.” Trade visitors particularly appreciated the expansion of the product groups and the positive response from retailers and craftsmen in the newly created Retailers Park.
With the expansion to Home of Flooring & Interior Finishing, Domotex aims to respond to changing market requirements and the growing need for holistically designed room concepts. That is why complementary product groups for walls, ceilings, and interior design have been added to the established flooring range.

And what do the exhibitors say? The diy editorial team asked around.
FN Neuhofer had the largest stand at the fair, covering more than 300 m². Managing partner Franz Neuhofer says: "We have had four intense days full of discussions, ideas, and encounters, and we were once again able to show what we can do and what we are working on – but more importantly, we inspired, enthused, and also learned new things. Many thanks to our entire team and to our customers, who always motivate us to perform at our best with their challenges.“
Oliver Otten, sales manager at Kip: ”We exhibited at Domotex for the first time, as part of the Retailers Park of Mega and Decor Union. An exciting and forward-looking concept, clear and visitor-friendly. The mix of visitors from very different sectors was refreshingly new for us, and we see clear potential here for the future.“
Lydia Bober, Head of Marketing & PR at Selit: ”We can look back on a successful trade fair with many interested visitors. We were particularly pleased with the great interest in our installation underlays for industry and trade. The response to our new roller shutter box insulation and the expanded range of our acoustic panels with the new molded parts and folding panel was also very positive. The new trade fair concept has proven its worth for us."
Richard Riepe, Business Manager DACH at Bostik: “Bostik recorded another significant increase in visitor enquiries at its stand compared to Domotex 2024. The Retailers Park was a magnet for customers from the flooring industry. There were many intensive discussions with customers from Germany, but also from abroad. Domotex 2026 thus confirms its international orientation.”
Andreas Deutsch, Head of Specialist Retail Gardinia and Managing Director Liedeco Home Decor: "Gardinia, as an exhibitor in the Retailers Park, was part of one of the central highlights of the trade fair. Organized in cooperation with strong partners such as the Mega Group and Decor-Union, we were already asked in 2024 whether and how we would like to participate again in 2026. Sure, the majority of visitors are focused on classic flooring ranges, including accessories. But that's exactly what makes it so appealing to us."
Andreas Müller, Head of Retail & Industry at Döllken Profiles: "For us, Domotex was a successful event despite its manageable size and the declining number of exhibitors compared to previous trade fairs. While in previous years the focus of visitors was strongly on the presentation of new products, this year it was more on networking and the personal exchange of information. We were able to make valuable contacts in the areas of craftsmanship, DIY, and export, and, last but not least, hold intensive discussions with existing and potential new business partners."
The next Domotex Home of Flooring & Interior Finishing will be held in Hanover from January 17 to 20, 2028.
