The young Romanian chain Homelux wants to open three to four new stores this year. That is what the owner Omer Susli told the Romanian industry service bricoretail.ro. In the next four to five years up to a total of 20 new openings are expected.

Homelux only opened its third location at the start of December, this time in a smaller format with 1 300 m² retail space. The first two stores were set up in former Praktiker stores; Susli was owner of Praktiker Romania until 2017 when Kingfisher took over most of the locations in the portfolio.

The year 2019 was the first full financial year for the online shop at www.homelux.ro. It registers an average of 20 000 visits per day, the average basket in 2019 had a value of around EUR 77. Omer Susli is expecting a continued growth in online sales of more than 30 per cent per year.
