As many as four major themed blocks shape the current 3/2019 edition of the trade journal DIY International which is out now: the 7th Global DIY Summit in Dublin, the home-improvement market in South East Asia, innovative retail formats in the DIY and garden industry and an assortment focus on wall design.
In a look back at the international industry congress which the retail and manufacturer associations Edra/Ghin and Fediyma organised in Dublin, the editorial team reports on the presentations and topics which were discussed by the almost 1 000 participants. A report on the store tour on the day before belongs here too.
For the regional report South East Asia, the editors asked their local correspondent to capture developments and opinions from the region. She reports in detail on what is currently happening in countries such as Brunei and Malaysia. In addition, Euromonitor International summarises the current state of affairs in China.
The renowned market research company also gave the editors access to detailed numerical data on the wall design market in Europe. As part of this assortment focus, important manufacturers also present their innovations.
Talking of innovations: remarkably often in recent months, the editors have been receiving invitations and reports on retail formats which haven't been implemented in the DIY and garden industry in this way before. Therefore, a special section "New concepts" summarises several reports from new stores, including ones in Great Britain, France, Germany and Belgium.
