Gerd Keim, CEO of fair organizer Kaigo, today opened this year's Taiwan Hardware Show in Taichung.

The Taiwan Hardware Show began in Taichung today, 13 October 2020. It is the only hardware and tools fair in the world to take place this year, emphasises the event organisers Kaigo. More than 370 exhibitors are represented at the three-day event.

In addition, the trade fair organisers, together with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra), have created the opportunity for online meetings. It is expected that more than 60 international buyers will use this platform for virtual sales talks.

In recent years, Rainer Strnad, editor of the trade journal DIY International, has visited the trade fair several times and has been involved in the supporting programme with presentations. Due to the uncertainties relating to the coronavirus crisis, he has, this year, chosen not to travel to Taiwan, however has been given the opportunity by the event organisers, to address participants of the trade fair by video with a short welcome message.
