Home Pro achieves steady growth in a fragile economic environment

Thai home improvement group Home Pro is growing steadily, but without coming anywhere near to replicating the high, often double-digit growth rates of the past. In the first quarter the sales income rose by 3.53 per cent to THB 15.39976 bn (approx. EUR 430 mio). The company's management has called this a "satisfactory level". According to the quarterly report, the background to this situation is that the economic forecast for 2019 is for Thailand to grow at a slower rate than in the previous year; the expansion of consumption is expected to remain fragile, as overall purchasing power has not yet recovered. Home Pro did not open any new stores in the first quarter.
