DIY stores in Great Britain may sell “essential” ranges

Most businesses are likewise now closed in Great Britain. Exemptions from this order, however, include "home and hardware shops" as they are termed in the directive of the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. The two big home improvement chains B&Q (Kingfisher) and Wickes have closed for today, 24 March 2020, but are preparing to offer products deemed by the government to be "essential" in their bricks-and-mortar stores
