Christian W. E. Haub is now sole Tengelmann CEO

Obi's parent company, the German retail group Tengelmann, has a new sole CEO. Christian W. E. Haub (53) is the sole member of the management board with immediate effect and has thus taken over the responsibilities of Karl-Erivan W. Haub, his older brother. Karl-Erivan W. Haub has been missing in the Swiss Alps since 7 April 2018. At the end of last week his family announced that there was no longer any likelihood that the experienced alpinist had survived.
The brothers had been joint CEOs of the family business since the generation change in the year 2000. Especially in the last eight years, the brothers had worked together in close cooperation, according to a press release.
