The Estonian DIY store and building materials chain Bauhof has been sold. The Lithuanian trade company Vilniaus Prekyba acquired 100 per cent of the company from the previous owner Myinvest Estonia through its subsidiary Ermi Group. Ermi is also said to be taking over shares of the Lithuanian Ermitažas chain from the parent company Vilniaus Prekyba; Ermitažas also trades in household goods, decoration ranges as well as DIY and garden articles. Thus, the third-largest DIY group in the Baltic States is said to have been formed. "The integration of Ermitažas and Bauhof is definitely a positive shift in the DIY company sector of the Baltic States," says Marijus Kriščiūnas, CEO of the Ermi Group.

Bauhof, with its 13 locations, is seen as market leader in the Estonian building materials and DIY store trade. Sales are reported to be EUR 97 mio in 2017. Ermitažas has nine stores in Lithuania and, in 2017, sales to the amount of EUR 85.7 mio. The parent group Vilniaus Prekyba operates companies including the food retailing chain Maxima with stores of various sizes in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. It is also active in countries such as Bulgaria and Poland.
